Trying Something New...

Image
Introducing the Salmon Teriyaki Spaghetti  (with a side of tender-stem broccoli) This  homemade teriyaki sauce is seriously worth making.  I made the pasta with only three ingredients . - sesame oil - soy sauce - green chili (thinly sliced) The steps are simple: - boil pasta and drain after  - mix pasta with a bit of sesame oil and soy sauce (no exact measurements but I'd suggest starting with a few tbsps of each) - add in the chili, mix, and done!

Salmon Teriyaki Kind Of Night

I found this simple homemade teriyaki sauce recipe and I thought hmm why not right? It tastes just like teriyaki sauce you get in restaurants and the ingredients needed are pretty much the basics!!  So my dish consists of salmon teriyaki , quinoa , and garlic long beans .  Click   here  for the teriyaki sauce recipe. Overall I'd say the sauce recipe is definitely a keeper!

Mango Salsa

Level up for my salsa gameee. Hahaha. The combination of sweet-ish mango with my usual salsa recipe I think is sooo much better! Mango Salsa recipe: - Half red onion (diced) - 1 green chili pepper - 1 mango - cilantro or basil leaves  - 2 tomatoes (diced) - half a lime - 2 tbsp olive oil  The steps are very easy. All that needs to be done is preparing the ingredients and then just mix them together!  Dinner (pictured above):  - mango salsa - quinoa - prawns - avocado

Honey Garlic Chicken.....maybe?

I still need practice in the whole chicken department and I guess from the looks of it it's pretty obvious! Hahaha. I have a habit of cooking my chicken for a bit longer than necessary for reasons I'm not even entirely sure of (-_-) ( (-_-) because no emoji available haha!) So this dish is basically justtt: - Honey garlic chicken - Button mushrooms - Potato pancakes The recipe I followed for the chicken marinade:  http://www.food.com/recipe/honey-garlic-chicken-thighs-462563

Ginger Mushroom Chicken

Image
....with quinoa! This mushroom chicken dish actually goes well with quinoa!  Who would've thought rightt (not me lol). A very simple yet satisfying meal. Ingredients: - 1 Chicken breast - Black pepper - Ginger (~2 tsp thinly sliced) - Enoki mushrooms - Shiitake mushrooms - Soy sauce (~3 tbsp) - Sesame oil (~2 tsp) - A pinch of salt  - Garlic (sliced thinly) - 1 cup Quinoa - A few tablespoons oil  Prepare quinoa first. To cook quinoa, for every 1 cup of quinoa, add 2 cups water. I cooked mine in the rice cooker.  Heat oil in a wok. While waiting for oil to heat up, clean chicken and cut into smaller pieces. When the oil is heated, add the garlic and fry until it is fragrant and it turns slightly brown. Add the chicken and black pepper into the wok and cook for about 5 minutes. Add shiitake mushrooms and stir occasionally for a few minutes. Add the soy sauce, sesame oil, salt and ginger.  Add enoki mushroom and stir stir stir a
